Culture of innovation directly influences business effectiveness that is the
fundamental purpose of the functioning of an organisation. Building the culture of innovation is not possible without leadership of growth – modern approach to management based on building strong, creative, independent and self-organising teams. In modern innovative organisations, a leader is not appointed but becomes one in situations that require leadership.
During the conference, we will meet experts and practitioners from organisations which consciously implement and develop culture of innovation. We will share knowledge regarding innovation and leadership, good practices, case studies and finally, our falls and failures from which we learn the most.

The goal of the course
We all claim that our products are innovative and innovation is an inherent element of development in our companies. We are investing huge resources in order to make those words come to life.
Ineffectively.
In spite of the common excitement about companies “being innovative” there are not many that actually are. Those few companies understand differently what innovation is and what’s more important, what it is not. They do not really pay attention to BE innovative and follow the crucial rules of this trend. Strange? Innovation is ephemeral and unintuitive. It’s hard to define and enormous to subjugate but thanks to that it is unusually beautiful.

Our discussion workshops “The Culture of Innovation” will try to catch up the unparalleled by bringing the subject matter up:
- Innovation in the DNA of the organization. How the organizational culture of the innovative companies should look like.
- The analysis and examples of companies which know how not to kill the innovation.
- Think more while doing less – The power of the simplicity.
- A better Agile – how to accelerate the agile design methodologies.
- An unsuccessful attempt of explaining the being to the innovation with the help of the cosmology phenomena of quantum physics and a few other which the workshop’s trainer completely doesn’t comprehend.
You will learn
Workshops will be a dynamic and light discussion full of examples, proof and “analyses of few innovators” and the manner of their actions. Its main goal is to throw participants off grated and stereotyped ruts and to help them on getting to the crazier paths heading towards the innovation. This workshop is a hands-on introduction to design thinking – a widely acknowledge approach to developing innovations. This method, codified at the Stanford University, may be applied on different levels, from large organizations to start-ups, helping to turn ideas into succesful products.

Track 3 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Event Storming – learning and knowledge management technique that fills the gap between business and IT

The goal of the course
During the workshop we will create model of the sample business domain.
We will distill both: what a system should do and how should it work.
So we will end with both process model and business domain model.
We will work also on the meta-level. Why does the Event Storming work
so well and how to introduce this method to your team.

Kanban Project Management
Trainer: Piotr Sarecki

The goal of the course
Workshop focused on implementation of visual management tools in Project & Programme Management. Kanban, system based on lean manufacturing (Toyota), properly applied to organisation improves efficiency and quality of project work and is a perfect tool to foster collaboration.
We will talk about the principles of Kaban. Together we will build a Kanban board, talk why limiting Work in Progress boosts speed & quality of the system and, how this all can be implemented in teams based in remote/different locations.

With evolution of leadership concepts we move away from top-down management to influencing, inspiring and collaborating. The goal of the course
“Coach – Approach for leaders” is a practical skills workshop in which we show how to use coaching in the daily work of a leader.
Key topics/ problems/ skills
- We will show you what team coaching is and how leaders can use it
- We will discuss the competences of the leader as a coach and situations in which they can be used.
- We will present specific and practical tools to work with teams.
- We will practice deep listening, coaching approach and asking powerfull questions.
- We will show specific tools and exercises to work with team’s goals and to increase commitment and responsibility.
You will learn
During the workshop you will learn how and when to use team coaching tools. How to build and create commitment. How to “open” teams for cooperation, self-organization and taking responsibility for themselves. We will mainly deal with the informal approach, and will look for opportunities for coaching in the daily tasks of the leader.
